WHAT IS SOFT WASHING?
Softwashing is the non-destructive alternative to pressure washing. Softwashing takes a scientific approach to cleaning by using quality eco-friendly Softwash products blended for all kinds of projects. Softwashing is the science behind organic growth, this gives a greater understanding into the most likely causes of organic growth and discolouration. Most of the dirt on properties is living organic bio film or carbon. Why Soft Washing?
In simple terms, soft washing is less likely to damage property and the results can last up to 3-4 times longer than pressure washing. Homeowners are becoming more aware of the damage pressure washers and untrained operators can do to there home, damaging render, roofs, brick and stonework as well as damaging pointing on patios to give a few examples. Using soft washing equipment, chemicals are applied using no more pressure than a garden hose. These chemicals are then brushed in to the target surface and then washed off using once again no more pressure than a garden hose. The skill is having the soft washing training to know how to use the correct chemicals in the correct ratios on the correct surface. That's why it is important to use a trained soft washing operator and not someone who happens to have a pressure washer.

Routine cleaning
- Remove debris: Regularly sweep, rake, or use a leaf blower to clear leaves, twigs, dust, and other loose debris from the surface. Use a plastic rake or a broom with stiff, synthetic bristles to avoid damage.
- Rinse regularly: Use a garden hose to rinse the turf every few weeks or during prolonged dry spells. This washes away dust and pollen and helps keep the surface clean.
- Brush flattened areas: Use a broom or a special artificial grass brush to "fluff" flattened fibers by brushing against the grain.
For pet waste
- Remove solid waste: Scoop up and dispose of any solid waste as soon as possible.
- Rinse urine spots: Use a hose to thoroughly rinse areas where pets have urinated. This dilutes the urine and flushes it through the turf's drainage system.
- Deodorize and sanitize: For lingering odors or extra sanitizing, apply a pet-safe enzyme cleaner or a simple mixture of equal parts white vinegar and water. Rinse the area with clean water after applying. Some effective, commercially available options include
For spills and stains
- Blot liquid spills: For spills like drinks, blot the area immediately with a clean, damp cloth. Avoid rubbing, as this can spread the stain.
- Clean tough stains: For more stubborn stains, you can use a mild soapy water solution (like washing-up liquid) or a gentle detergent. For oil-based spills, a small amount of diluted mineral spirits can be used very sparingly.
- Rinse thoroughly: Always rinse the area with clean water from a hose to remove any detergent residue.
What to avoid
- Harsh chemicals: Never use harsh chemicals like bleach, as they can damage and discolor the synthetic fibers.
- Pressure washers: High-pressure washers can damage the fibers and dislodge the infill (the sand or rubber granules) that help the turf stand up.
- Sharp objects: Do not use metal rakes, shovels, or other sharp objects, as they can tear or puncture the turf.
- Vacuum cleaners: For infill turf, avoid using a vacuum cleaner, as it can remove the infill material.

I've just had my block paved Driveway cleaned and resanded by Steve at Mr Softwash Ltd...and I am chuffed to bits with it! It was in a right sorry state after a Massive Water leak restoration by Insurance builders, it had mould,Moss, water stains, builders rubble, tile grout, concrete you name it, it was on there!..and Now after he worked his magic, looks like it was laid yesterday.
