Many customers wonder what the difference is between soft washing and jet washing (aka pressure washing or power washing). The modern, technologically advanced, process of soft washing reduces, and even eliminates, the need for jet or pressure/power washing in most situations. Soft washing is the process of using eco-friendly chemicals and low-pressure water to clean the surfaces of buildings and driveways. Soft washing will not damage your property. It's effectiveness depends upon the cleaning contractor having the skilled knowledge of how to use the correct cleaning product at the correct concentration ratio and using the correct equipment.
To clean decking, first clear and sweep it of debris. Then, apply a deck cleaner solution (or dish soap and water for a gentler approach) and scrub with a stiff-bristled brush. Finally, rinse the surface with a hose or low-pressure washer and allow the deck to dry completely before applying an oil or sealer.

Decking by its very nature is often made from softwood and has limited protection from weathering. The porous surface can quickly become covered in dirt, green algae and general grime that can make it look quite unsightly. If left to deteriorate further the wood can start to splinter and break up which would mean total replacement at some point. Composite decking is a better option as its more robust. I've just had my block paved Driveway cleaned and resanded by Steve at Mr Softwash Ltd...and I am chuffed to bits with it! It was in a right sorry state after a Massive Water leak restoration by Insurance builders, it had mould,Moss, water stains, builders rubble, tile grout, concrete you name it, it was on there!..and Now after he worked his magic, looks like it was laid yesterday. Pristine and all the colours are back and refreshed.
